Goodbye 08

So I was just sitting here on my couch with my 2 favorite pooches thinking about the past year! :) I am so incredibly blessed to live the life that I do.

January 08:

Began a new year with friends and fireworks. Best NYE to date! I started my J1 semester at UMHB and was excited to see where the future would take me!

February-May: kind of a blur. Just school, school, and MORE school. Oh and I got Ms Isaboo in March! YAY!! Shes a doll!






May:
Went on a week long trip to Mazatlan Mexico with 2 of my friends from Nursing School, one of her friends and mother and mother in law! BEST.TRIP.EVER! I had never left the country before nor had I ever been on a plane. It was all new and exciting at the same time. Oh, and the day I got back ... I got engaged to the man of my dreams. I should go on more trips if it means I'm going to get presents like that on my return! haha. :) Started working at Providence to bring in some money! :)

June-July: Celebrated 2 years of a wonderful relationship with Stephen. Worked my summer away. Turned 22 (whoo) and worked some more. No real big events later in the summer.

August: Started back my SECOND semester of nursing school ... with babies and kiddos I knew it would be my favorite semester so far! I loved couplet care and I know that's where I want to be someday! :)

September: I got THE DRESS!! It's beautiful and very me. It's everything I wanted it to be! :) Almost LOST one of my best friends to some stupid drama. It's amazing how much girls still act like they did in HIGH SCHOOL!



October: Not too much happened in October. (You see the trend of the year? SCHOOL OWNS MY LIFE!!!!) Dressed the dogs up for Halloween. It was HILARIOUS!

November: Gettin' ready to wrap up the semester and Thanksgiving with the family!

December: Hell week ... finals, finals, and more finals. I thought it would never end! I passed all of my classes and I am now OFFICIALLY a SENIOR!!!!! WHOO!! :) Enjoyed a great Christmas with the family!

Now, here I am about to start a new year full of school, our wedding, and graduation. I have no doubt that 2009 will be the best year ever! :) Bring on the new year! Be safe tonight! xoxo. B

OOOH we're halfway there ....

So as of today I have two weeks left of my J2 semester!! I am kinda freaking out right now!! As with my fellow classmates, I am panicking and wondering how the heck I am going to fit all of this studying into 5 days!!!!!!!!

Many of you don't know the stress that comes with nursing school so I will briefly enlighten you! :)

Starting Monday I have 2 OB tests, Tuesday 2 PEDI tests, Wednesday (by the Grace of God) we have a DEAD DAY!!, Thursday is J2 skills check-offs, Friday is my Comprehensive Final for OB, the following Monday is my Comprehensive Pedi Final, and then Tuesday I have OB and Pedi HESI!! ICK!!!!!!!! So let's do the math... 9 tests in a little over 7 days!!!!!!!! I'm going to have grey hair before December is over!! ha. It's super stressful and I can see why there is a nursing shortage ... so before you start thinking nurses aren't important ... I don't think Drs have nearly this stress.. We have to learn our own nursing aspect as well as the information to save the doctor's ass .. okay well maybe not BUT it's DANG hard work being in nursing school!!! :)

I'm not going to lie, I have been doubting myself quite a bit lately! I didn't do so hot on my last pedi test (panic attack RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TEST!!!!) and I'm hanging by a THREAD!!! EEEEEEEKKKKK!! Pray for me. I know I can do it, I will do it ... I have to make a certain grade to even sit for final ... I'm so close to not being able to and it freaks me out! :) Pray that I can maintain all of the knowledge that I need to make it through this!

I am going into hibernation for the next 2 weeks so if you don't hear from me, don't think the worst! :) I'm doing all I can to stay sane! haha!! I love you all and I hope you all kick ass on finals!! :) xo. -B
