Back into the Grind ....

School starts again on Wednesday! I must say that it really doesn't feel like time to be going back! I'm kinda bummed that my summer vacay is coming to a complete HALT ... lol! I went and got my schedule for the week and they really aren't playing.

First Day : 8-4 (complete with Med Calc Exam)
2nd Day: 8-4 (Skills check offs)
3rd Day: 8-11 (a generous break if you ask me!!)

Looks like I'm going to be living under a rock again for the next 3.5 months! :( I'm going to go ahead and make my apologies now .. Sorry for not answering phone calls/emails/texts, Sorry for turning a good time down, sorry for being an old lady and calling it a night at 8 pm, sorry for sounding like a complete "crackhead" because of my lack of sleep, and mostly sorry for the lack of compassion when you complain about how tired or busy you are! ;) lol.

I'm actually very excited underneath all of this nervous-ness. I love pediatrics and OB and it's going to be fun! :) I hope I get lots of opportunities to learn and get lots experience. I'm going to be working in the emergency department at Scott and White this semester and I cannot wait!!!!! I'm going to be right in the middle of one of the largest trauma centers in the US!!! Woo!!

In Wedding News:
I'm going to David's Bridal on Labor Day to look for the dress of my dreams! :) I can't wait!! We went to a bridal show yesterday so I got lots of ideas! :) I'll keep you posted as things go on! :)

Hot Diggity Dog!!

Whew! It's so hot outside! My desktop weather reader is telling me it's currently 102 outside....yikes. Tomorrow and Monday are highs of 107!!!!!!! I can't wait until this summer heat is over. I used to love it as a child, but now it's just unbearable. I can't stand the thought of working outside in this heat. My dad and grandpa have gone back to work and I pray that they can hold out just a little longer until it cools down. He's having to leave the job site at lunch time because the heat is so bad. I don't blame him either.

I'm beginning to become more of a winter person. I love cuddling up by the fire and drinking my hot cocoa! :) I love sweaters and jeans more than I love shorts and tank tops ... weird, huh?! I would much rather swim in a indoor pool than an outdoor one.

Amy Layne's wedding is coming up in TWO WEEKS!! OH MY GOSH!! It seems like just yesterday we were in 8th grade in Video Production ..... it's so crazy how time flies by ....
